Guide Service...

There are a few good options in Southern Ontario for river guide services so we decided to do things a little better and a little different from the other guide shops. Here are a few things we offer that you wont always get from other shops.

• Our guide has over 25 years of fly fishing experience & 9 years of guide experience.
• We always provide a friendly and professional service with no attitude.
• We offer trout and steelhead guiding from March to December.
• We only have 1 in-house guide and we don’t hire unqualified guides or  other guide companies to take our customers out.
• We are fully licensed and insured and equipped with all the required safety gear.
• We can provide all the fishing gear you’ll need and it’s always free.
• We have the best guide rates of any guide shop in the area.
• We offer drift boat trips for trout all summer and fall..
• Not everyone wants to fly fish for trout or steelhead so we are the only guide shop in the area offering guided trips with spinning gear, float fishing gear and fly fishing gear. Centerpin and Fly fishing is our specialty.
• We like to teach and are very patient so we don’t mind guiding inexperienced new anglers, we’ll make you feel comfortable regardless of your fishing skill level.
• Information is free and we like to share our waters with our customers.

Your Guide...

Graham Bristow is an avid angler and the head guide and owner of Anglers Pro Shop. Graham has been guiding for over 9 years and guides and teaches almost 200 days a year. Graham has over 25 years of fly fishing and experience and uses the skills and teachings of famous fly anglers like Joe Humphreys, Kelly Gallop, Lefty Kreh,  as well as techniques used by the Canadian and USA national fly fishing teams to guide anglers to big trout on his home rivers. Graham has had the opportunity to fish many great rivers from some of the best USA and Ontario rivers to some of the most scenic rivers in British Columbia.  Although not his first choice for catching steelhead Graham has also enjoyed centerpin fishing for over 20 years. Graham and has taught hundreds of people to fly fish and centerpin fish and his goal is to provide you with an educational, fun filled experience while giving you the best opportunity to catch a trout of a lifetime.

The Rivers We Guide...

 Our specialty is the scenic upper Credit River but many of the other rivers we guide are less than an hour away and some are as close a 5 minutes away. These rivers and streams offer lots of trout with wild resident brown trout, wild brook trout and many have good runs of wild Steelhead and Salmon in the fall.  Three of these amazing rivers even appear in the book “Ontario’s Blue Ribbon Fly Fishing” and are considered some of Ontario’s best trout rivers.

Corporate events...

Corperate events are available for groups up to 20 people. Please contact us for details and prices.

Walk and Wade Trips: fish for steelhead or trout by foot on some of the areas best rivers. We can provide all gear if required or bring your own. You can choose the river you want to fish or leave it up to us to put you on the river that is fishing best.

Drift Boat Trips: We are the first guide shop to offer this very unique and fun experience that you won’t want to miss. We will take you to our best summer and fall trout and steelhead rivers and float down these rivers in the most comfortable, safe and stable pontoon boats available.  These pontoon boats are so safe and reliable they are many guides first choice on many of the west coasts biggest and wildest steelhead rivers.

For an extra $60.00 you can enjoy a relaxing guided trip down one of our most scenic rivers through the best private water sections on a 2 or 3 man pontoon boat or follow your guide down the river in your very own one man stand-up pontoon boat and fish for un-pressured trophy browns trout or steelhead.

Pontoon Boat Rates

  Full Day (6 -9 hrs)            Starting at $320.00   

 Note: Price listed is based on ONE angler, for additional anglers please add $30.00 to the base rate. Max. 3 anglers. Prices may change with some packages and custom trips. Some restrictions may apply. * taxes are included unless payment is by credit card or debit card.

Deposits

All guide trips require a $100.00 deposit for each day booked to hold your date. The remaining fee’s are due on the day of the trip in CASH ONLY. The deposit is not refundable unless notice of cancelation is given at least 15 days before the scheduled trip date. Under severe weather conditions or dangerous or very poor river we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule but we will always try to reschedule you at the earliest possible date that works for both of us and full refunds will be given if a new date is not possible. We reserve the right to cancel due to weather, illness, technical problems or any other reason that prevents us from providing the best possible trip.

Guide Liability Waiver and Agreement

All guests of Anglers Pro Shop guide services will be required to sign an agreement of terms and liability waiver.  READ AGREEMENT HERE
