River Reports...

The goal of our river reports is to enhance your fishing experience each time you head down to the river. We don’t report anyone’s hot spots but we can provide you with water conditions and hot flies. Help enhance everyone’s fishing experience by e-mailing or phoning us with your up to date river conditions.

Grand River

“Ontario’s #1 Brown Trout Fishery”

The Upper Grand Trout sections report - NO REPORT AT THIS TIME.

Water Levels- Ideal water levels are around 5 cms but we don’t recommend fishing when water levels are above 15 cms. You can check here for current water levels. CURRENT CONDITIONS

Credit River

“The Blue Ribbon Trout River”

The credit is our specialty. We’re less then 10 minutes away from the Wild Brook Trout and Brown Trout s of the Upper Credit. Our guide will put you on the best sections for Brook trout up to 18” and browns up to 26”.

Upper Credit River - BWO and Hendricksons in the afternoons. Hendrickson Spinners are showing up in the good numbers. A few size 16 tan caddis around to. We’ve had some good reports of numbers of trout and some reports of big fish up to 24” caught this spring”.

Water Levels - When the water in the Boston Mills Station is around 4 or less conditions should be very good but if it’s up around 4.3 chances are it’s usually high, dirty and un-fishable.

Check here for daily water levels - CURRENT CONDITIONS

Check out our Store for Credit River fly selection and Fishing Access Maps, we have custom tied flies available for all the major hatches.

Lower Credit - There are a few steelhead still around.

Humber River

“The Unknown Gem”

This river has plenty of access and lots of water to explore with very little fishing pressure. Brown trout and Brook Trout fishing in the upper sections can be great but finding the fish is not always easy. A trip with one of our guides can save you time and help you find the big ones.

Guiding Info

Upper River - The upper Humber is fishing well with Hendricksons, Caddis and Sulfurs and some yellow stone flies in some areas. We fished it this morning with a few brook trout and about a dozen brown trout caught on nymphs and worm patterns. The water conditions were good today.

Water Levels for: Palgrave Station   8.3 = Ideal conditions, 8.6 = High & probably dirty - CURRENT CONDITIONS

Come by the store and check out our Fishing Access maps for the Upper Humber River.

Nottawasaga River

Middle and Lower River - The river is open year round to fishing from the Mouth of the Boyne River down river to Georgian Bay.

New regulations are now in effect ( No Rainbow Trout may be kept between the Mouth of the Pine river to the Mouth of the Boyne River). You may fish for Rainbow Trout/Steelhead in this section but all Rainbow Trout must now be released
